Every year our school celebrates the Annual day in the school auditorium. The school’s annual day is the culmination of its academic year. It is that time of the year where we celebrate and recognize the school’s as well as the students’ achievements. It gives the students an opportunity to showcase their unique talents and achievements. The school’s annual report is also read. It is an opportunity for experiencing teamwork amongst our peers and being proud of what the school’s ideology is and what it stands for. The program starts with the welcoming of the guests followed by the school prayer. The events include various meaningful dance, dramatics and song performances by the students. The school ensures that there is a hundred percent participation from the students as each child is special and important for us and we believe that every child must be given an opportunity to develop talents, showcase their talents, and harness their skills and attributes through such public performances.
School sports day is one of the most loved events of the year, the children very longingly look forward to it. Sport develops a sense of friendliness among the children and develops their team spirit. It helps children to develop mental and physical toughness. The school believes that sports is an integral part of education and in Lotus Internattional School, children are taught various sorts of games and are taught gross motor skills in very early stages to keep their value in life. Junior & Senior school students take part in a long span of games on the field. When this day is about to come, there appears to be a lot of activity in the entire school premises as arrangements take time.
The prize day at our school is a day of glorious celebration. Prizes are distributed among several students who have achieved excellence in different respects in that year. It is observed every year in our school. The day has a special significance for the students and teachers. An aroma of pleasure runs everywhere in the school campus this day. The school is decorated with flags and festoons. In the evening the attractive decoration of electric light arrests everybody’s attention and creates an impression of a paradise on the earth. Many respectable ladies and gentlemen including the guardians of the students are invited to the occasion. An important person is invited to the occasion for distributing the prizes.
The Lotus International School believes that the students should become global citizens while retaining their traditional values. Keeping this in mind, all the important national days and festivals are celebrated in the school through celebrations and special assemblies. The essence of the festival or the special day is portrayed through dance, music, mime, role play, and audio visual presentations and special speeches by important personalities to enlighten the importance of the day to young children.
